About the role
Reporting directly to the CEO you will play a critical role in driving the strategic direction of the business. This role involves working at a strategic level while also being hands-on, ensuring the business remains competitive and customer-focused. You will develop and implement comprehensive sales plans, set ambitious yet achievable targets, and lead a dedicated team to exceed growth objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and strengthening relationships with major clients.
- Identifying untapped market opportunities, and ensuring the business remains competitive in a dynamic industry.
- Developing and executing sales plans to achieve growth targets and drive profitability.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients across supermarket, wholesale, and independent sectors.
- Leading and mentoring the sales and customer service team to foster collaboration and high performance.
- Overseeing new product development and ensuring processes meet market demands.
- Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborating with internal teams, including operations and quality assurance, to ensure seamless stock availability and compliance.
About you Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing, or a related field form the foundation of your professional expertise, complemented by more than 10 years of experience in the FMCG sector. You bring a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and have demonstrated success in managing major supermarket, wholesale, and independent business accounts to ensure high standards of service delivery and client satisfaction.
Your ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans is supported by a deep understanding of market trends, data analysis, and competitor insights. Experience in the food industry or a related sector enhances your ability to excel in this role. Leading high-performing teams comes naturally to you, and your leadership style fosters collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence.
Proficiency in CRM systems, sales reporting, and forecasting ensures efficient and effective processes. Your exceptional communication skills, meticulous approach to process improvement, and ability to collaborate across departments position you as an influential leader capable of driving meaningful outcomes.
