About the role
They are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee all active projects from award to practical completion. In this role, you will report to the General Manager on a range of matters, including but not limited to:
- All aspects of project management.
- Job scheduling (managing up to 100 team members).
- Project status including updating programmes.
- Managing variations (quoting, status and completion).
- Managing materials on each project.
- Assisting with progress claims/invoicing.
- Ensuring up to date plans are on site.
- Conducting pre-commencement meetings with estimating team.
As an experienced Operations Manager it would be expected that you will have in-depth knowledge of each active project and keep in close contact with the client. You will have strong stakeholder engagement and build relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business. This is a predominantly site-based role with daily travel, while also requiring time in the office for admin and coordination with key stakeholders.
About you
- To ensure you hit the ground running you will need to be an experienced painter with previous experience managing a large crew across various projects.
- You will have strong communication skills both verbal and written as well as computer literacy in word, excel and outlook.
- To be successful in this role you will have strong time management skills and be able to coordinate team members and jobs to get the best commercial outcomes.
- You will have strong leadership skills and be able to manage team members including recruitment and onboarding.
- You will have demonstrated success in helping to build a positive team culture and providing ongoing support, training and identifying talent.
