About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership position as People and Capability Manager, ideal for an experienced Senior HR Advisor or HR Business Partner ready to progress their career. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on implementation, providing an opportunity to influence and drive people and culture outcomes.
In this role, you will lead a small, dedicated team and partner with key stakeholders to deliver initiatives that align with the organisation’s mission. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the full employee lifecycle, driving employee engagement, implementing learning and development programs, and providing expert advice on workforce planning, compliance, and employee relations.
This is a Monday-to-Friday, office-based role located in West End, with the flexibility to work from home one day per week. There is also an option for a four-day-per-week permanent part-time arrangement for the right candidate.
About you
You are a passionate HR professional eager to move into a leadership role and make a meaningful impact. With at least five years of experience in human resources, you bring a wealth of knowledge in areas such as workforce planning, employee relations, and compliance. Your expertise is complemented by your background in the not-for-profit sector, particularly within aged care, disability, or community services, where you have honed your ability to navigate complex challenges and deliver results.
Collaboration and relationship-building are at the heart of your approach to stakeholder engagement. Your proactive mindset and strong problem-solving and communication skills position you as a trusted advisor and leader. Ready to lead a high-performing team, you are skilled at balancing operational responsibilities with strategic goals to drive culture and organisational success.
