About the role
As a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for those seeking assistance in their Fortitude Valley Centre, playing a vital role in offering a warm, empathetic welcome to all. Your role goes beyond traditional reception duties — you will be building connections, directing individuals to the right resources, and ensuring their experience is one of respect and care. In addition to supporting our front-of-house operations, you will also be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Manage incoming phone calls, emails, and appointments with professionalism and efficiency.
- Maintain up-to-date records of personal information, utilising internal systems and entering data accurately with a keen eye for detail.
- Collaborate closely with the team to continuously improve service delivery while maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all.
- Assist in onboarding volunteers by providing initial guidance, directing them to the right team members, and ensuring they feel welcomed and informed.
- Help facilitate training sessions by scheduling, preparing materials, and maintaining training records.
About you You are a compassionate and empathetic individual who genuinely values creating a safe and welcoming environment for others. With experience in customer-facing roles, particularly with vulnerable or disadvantaged individuals, you bring a strong sense of understanding and respect to your interactions.
- You will have strong organisational skills and be detail oriented.
- Proficiency in IT, including the ability to work with the Microsoft Office 365 suite.
- You are committed to upholding safety, integrity, and professionalism always.
- You have a genuine interest in community service and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- You demonstrate a strong commitment to the values of Respect, Persistence, Integrity, and Dignity upheld by 3RD Space.
- You possess or are willing to obtain a valid Blue Card, National Police Check, and Queensland Driver’s Licence.
